RWLB represents numerous retail establishments in a wide variety of claims against them. Numerous claims are brought against the retailers for falls on their premises, in the store or in the parking lot, for conditions varying from icy sidewalks to grapes, liquid, debris, or the curled edge of a mat. RWLB is familiar with the types of retail practices common in the industry and the types of documentation which can help or hurt a retailer in these cases. We have found that it is often in the retailer’s interest to take an aggressive position on these claims. We have successfully handled hundreds of these claims and have tried many to verdict.
In addition, RWLB advises and represents retailers on a variety of other types of litigation, including allegations of inadequate security, false imprisonment, contaminated products and indemnification claims.
RWLB is active in the Retail Practice Group of the USLAW Network. Beth Stouder, a Director of RWLB, currently serves as the Chair of the practice group.
