Betsy‘s civil practice focuses primarily on litigation, including employment, premise liability, personal injury, landlord-tenant and timber trespass. She also advises condominium associations on general business matters and represents professionals before regulatory boards. Betsy is dedicated to her clients and determined to obtain positive results for them. She is admitted to practice in the State of Maine and the United States District Court for the District of Maine.
Born and raised in Maine, Betsy graduated from University of Maine School of Law and Brandeis University. She also obtained a Project Management Certificate from the University of Southern Maine. During law school, Betsy worked at the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar, TD Bank’s Commercial Agreements’ and Credit Card Merchant Services’ Divisions, and at a Portland-based personal injury law firm. Prior to attending law school, Betsy worked as a disability and life insurance underwriter analyzing group employee demographics and benefit plan risk.
Betsy serves on the Maine Women’s Fund’s Finance Committee and the Gignoux Inn of Court. She is also an active member of the Maine Bar Association’s Women’s Law Section and the New Lawyer’s Section. Betsy volunteers for the Legal Food Hub and leads her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. She lives in the Portland area with her husband, daughter and golden retriever.
